The neighborhood was constructed in the 1990's by Toll Brothers and takes part of it's name for the area now known as Ashburn. Mansion owners in the 1800's called this area Farmwell or Farmwell Station. The area became known as Ashburn in the late 1800's by wealthy landowners who referred to their tracks as Ashburn Farm or just Ashburn.
